Amongst all the pain
Amid all the distress
You can stand there
And never falter
When I was in pain
You were there
When I was in distress
You would have been there
Then when it came to it
And I needed someone to hold
It was you
You were there
You held me close
You weren’t going to,
Let anyone hurt me anymore
You won’t let it happen
While the world falls down around me
You stand in the centre with me
Holding my guiding light
Keeping me on my feet
Can't remember when i wrote it, but youc an probably guess who I was thinking about
The Guitar Blues Man
Such a lively sound
quickly changing
to a slow and calm pace
That guitar is enthrauling
The words with the music
so meaningful
you can hear the emotion
almost see the expression
It's like a wave of understanding
Like someone understands you
how you feel
They've been there too!
You finally realise
You have to finish
what you started
Or you'll fail
The guitar
The blues
they all help you along
knowing you're not alone
I know for sure now
They can't see
That the one living on the edge
Is me!
If they knew
They'd know why
I sometimes sit in silence
And sometimes cry
All because of love
That I can't explain
And they don't help
With the pain
And they just can't see it
I'm living on the edge!
The edge of sanity!
On the edge!
ON THE FUCKING EDGE
